come find the fire

Welcome to The Lost Kitchen, a wood fired restaurant in Devon. Our welcoming, informal and relaxed restaurant celebrates seasonal food and wood fired cooking. Our feasting barn has beautiful views and a terrace garden to dine on, set in the hamlet of Chettiscombe amongst the rolling hills of Mid Devon.

The Lost Kitchen has become known for serving up delicious wood fired food. We have some of the best local ingredients we can get our hands on, and offer seasonal food within a modern European menu, along with the warmest welcome from the friendliest team in town.

We have created a rustic and informal restaurant near Tiverton, a space that brings together our South West community in the heart of Mid Devon, just walking distance from Knightshayes Court and a short drive (or walk/cycle!) from Tiverton’s centre.

Winter Perdu

Our Signature IPA Perdu turns waste sourdough into fresh beer. Simple. But we've been ‘thirsty’ to push it further.

Winter Perdu – Our winter beer. Waste sourdough meets cocoa husks. Darker, lighter than stout.

Same sourdough backbone. Different energy entirely.

500 litres. That's it. Now pouring on draft at The Lost Kitchen.

About us.

Wood Fired Cooking

Lost Kitchen manager George has been building and cooking in wood-fired ovens for the past 10 years.

George and his wife Aurora started out cooking sourdough wood-fired pizzas in a mobile wood-fired oven, for parties and events across Somerset and Devon.

Aurora now designs the seasonal menus for the restaurant with the Head Chef Jason Meade and sources ethically sourced products for the shop, whilst George runs the restaurant with The Lost Kitchen team.
